REITweek Conference [Ask Your Questions]
Hi,
I am headed to NAREIT's REITweek investor conference to bring you the latest insights on the REIT market and its best investment opportunities.
This is the largest annual REIT industry conference and it will take place from the 6th until the 8th of June in NYC. My understanding is that anyone can attend this conference so let me know if you would be interested to join, but note that it is pretty expensive at $3,500 per person.
I will be there and can ask all your questions. Just let me know in the comment section below what you would like to know and I will do my best to pass your questions to the different REITs.
I expect to hear from the following REIT management teams:
Weyerhaeuser (WY) (biggest timberland REIT in the world)
Orion Office REIT (ONL) (spin-off from Realty Income holding its single-tenant office buildings)
Armada Hoffler (AHH) (small-cap diversified REIT that does not participate at most other conferences. We own a position in our Core Portfolio)
Acadia Realty Trust (AKR) (high-street retail REIT. Interested in this unique strategy)
Realty Income (O) (they are some of the best at pitching their REIT. I think that there are better options in their peer group, but always interesting to hear them talk)
Digital Realty (DLR) (one of the biggest data center REITs. Interested to learn more about data centers)
Regency Centers (REG) (strip center REIT. Interested to learn more about their value-add program and development projects)
Global Medical REIT (GMRE) (small-cap medical office REIT that does not participate at most other conferences. We own a position in our Core Portfolio)
Prologis (PLD) (biggest industrial landlord in the world. They always present lots of interesting data on the sector)
BSR REIT (BSRTF) (small-cap apartment REIT that does not participate at most other conferences. We own a position in our Core Portfolio)
Essex Property Trust (ESS) (California-focused apartment REIT. Interested to learn more about their view on coastal vs. sunbelt markets)
Agree Realty (ADC) (smaller version of Realty Income. Interested to learn more about how they plan to grow externally with their now higher cost of capital)
UMH Properties (UMH) (small-cap manufactured housing REIT that does not participate at most other conferences. We own a position in our Core Portfolio and I am interested in their capital allocation)
Tricon Residential (TCN) (single-family housing and asset management business. Not officially a REIT)
American Tower (AMT) (biggest tower REIT in the world. Interested in their international growth strategy)
Postal Realty Trust (PSTL) (only REIT that focuses on postal offices. Interested to learn more about why they think that this strategy could produce alpha)
EPR Properties (EPR) (I want to their latest thoughts on AMC and theaters in general)
Farmland Partners (FPI) (small-cap farmland REIT that does not participate at most other conferences. We own a position in our Core Portfolio and want to meet their new CEO)
Whitestone REIT (WSR) (small-cap strip center REIT that does not participate at most other conferences. We own a position in our Core Portfolio). OR I may go to Safehold. It depends on the latest info before the conference.
VICI Properties (VICI) (Biggest casino REIT. I want to learn more about their latest acquisitions in Canada)
Centerspace (CSR) (small apartment REIT that I am not very familiar with)
I am still setting up meetings with various REITs so let me know if I missed one that would be interested in.
Also, if you are in NYC and would like to meet me outside of the conference, let me know and I will try to set something up. I expect these three days to be very busy so I can't guarantee anything, but I will try to find some time.
I will share all my takeaways from the conference with members of High Yield Landlord shortly after it.
