Update On Our Last Convoy To Ukraine
For nearly three years, Russian propaganda has pushed the idea that Ukraine’s collapse is only a matter of time. Every small advance is portrayed as a decisive breakthrough, every Ukrainian setback as proof that the country is failing. Many people abroad have absorbed this narrative without realizing it.
But the truth on the ground is very different.
Ukraine today controls far more territory than it did three months into the full-scale invasion, and its defensive lines continue to hold despite enormous pressure. The only reason Ukraine has been able to resist one of the world’s largest militaries for so long is because of its determination and the support it receives from people around the world.
That support genuinely matters. And this is where our work plays a direct role.
Early in the war, we identified a critical gap that few others were addressing: basic transportation. Ukraine was receiving advanced weapons systems, but frontline units often lacked something even more essential: vehicles. Without enough trucks, soldiers cannot evacuate the wounded, escape artillery fire, move quickly between positions, or transport ammunition and supplies. The lack of mobility has cost countless lives.
So we stepped in.
Since 2022, we have organized what we call freedom convoys. We purchase trucks, convert them for military use, equip them with drone jammers, night vision, camouflage, and mud tires, and then personally drive them across Europe to deliver them directly to the units that need them most. This is entirely volunteer-driven: I do not earn a cent from it, and I have personally contributed tens of thousands of euros and countless hours. Your donations go directly to impact.
This matters not only for Ukraine, but for the entire world.
If Ukraine were to collapse, the consequences would extend far beyond its borders. It would embolden Russia to continue its expansion, with Moldova, Georgia, and potentially even the Baltic states next in line. It would send a clear signal to authoritarian regimes everywhere, including China with Taiwan, that borders can be changed by force.
The consequences would reverberate across the global economy: disrupted trade routes, mass migration, energy shocks, cybersecurity crises, and heightened military spending worldwide. Even the United States, protected by oceans but deeply interconnected with the global economy, would feel the impact. A world in which borders can be redrawn by force is a world in which instability becomes the norm.
That is why supporting Ukraine is not just the right thing to do from a moral perspective, but it is also a strategic necessity for global security and economic stability.
Every vehicle delivered matters, and thanks to your support, our most recent convoy was yet again a big success.
Your Impact: Update on the Latest Convoy
Thanks to the generosity of this community, we raised approximately $145,000 (€123,393.58) for this mission. With those funds, we were able to purchase and convert six trucks, each outfitted with mission-critical equipment, including drone protection systems, night-vision gear, camouflage, and off-road tires.
Together with other volunteers, we joined a larger operation that delivered 36 vehicles on this convoy alone. All trucks were driven from Tallinn to Kyiv and handed over directly to pre-selected frontline units. These are units that urgently need trucks to save lives and carry out their missions more safely and effectively.
An accountability video will follow in the coming weeks, showing every vehicle delivered and interviews with the soldiers receiving them.
In the meantime, here are some pictures.
In this first photo, I am standing in Kyiv with Russ, a High Yield Landlord member and one of our largest donors. He has now joined us on three convoys already! (If you would like to join us on a future convoy, please email me at jaskola@leonbergcapital.com.)
In the next photos, you can see most of the trucks. Together with other volunteers, we prepared and delivered 36 vehicles on this convoy alone. In total, we have now delivered nearly 1,000 trucks since the start of the war:
In this next photo, I am with my brother, Joni, and old friends from my time in the Finnish military.
All of them now volunteer to support this mission:
None of this would be possible without your support, so thank you again!
I have said this before, and I will say it again: I am constantly blown away by the support from this community. Most of you have never met me in person, and yet you trust me enough to contribute to something this important. I am deeply grateful. You are truly making a difference for Ukraine.
As a final touch, since many of the donations came from U.S.-based members, we once again added American flags to some of the trucks:
Stay tuned for our video.
Thank you so much again!
